“Yes, it was Ronda” – Nia Jax confirms which WWE Superstar was hurting Alexa Bliss

“Yes, it was Ronda” – Nia Jax confirms which WWE Superstar was hurting Alexa Bliss. Jax revealed in April that a certain wrestler was hurting Alexa Bliss in the ring.

During a live stream back in April, Nia Jax opened a can of worms when she narrated the story of a how a wrestler had been hurting Alexa Bliss in matches. Although she didn’t mention by name, many speculated that the WWE superstar in question was former UFC champion Ronda Rousey.

In a recent interview with TalkSport, the irresistible force confirmed that the wrestler was Rousey indeed. However, she went on to add that it wasn’t about her taking liberties but because of how differently she had trained all her life.

“Yes, it was Ronda” – Nia Jax confirms which WWE Superstar was hurting Alexa Bliss

“Yes, it was Ronda. I do not think she took liberties; I think things happen. And Alexa is very strong, she’s so strong-willed and she doesn’t want to give up. She never wants to be told she can’t do something,” Jax said.

‘So, for me personally, being such a close friend and seeing that she was trying to fight through this, I felt the need to stand up for her because she wasn’t going to do it for herself.”

Jax added that while Ronda believed she was doing something right; it wouldn’t help her in the long run. She also brought up the fact that while Wrestlers are taught to put on a show without hurting their partner, Ronda had trained with the UFC. Naturally, her instincts were very different.

“She came in to the scene and she really didn’t get the proper WWE training that I was able to get at the Performance Center. So, she had to learn things on the fly and her instinct is MMA/UFC fighting.  So her instinct is to go somewhere different that where our instincts tell us where to go in the ring if that makes sense.

‘And me being somebody who is little bit bigger and a lot stronger than Alexa – not a little bit [laughs], a lot bigger and stronger than Alexa – I definitely knew I’d be able to handle working with Ronda a lot easier than somebody like Alexa just because I can deal with somebody who is stronger a little better than her, let’s just put it that way.”

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
