Zidane return to management: Zinedine Zidane’s son, Enzo Zidane has stated that his father will return to management.
Zinedine Zidane stepped down as the manager of Real Madrid before the beginning of the 2018/19 season. The Frenchman resigned after leading the club to their third consecutive Champions League title.
The announcement came as a shock to Real Madrid fans, and even Florentino Perez, the president of the club. The Los Blancos have struggled in the new season so far, as they dealt with another blow with the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Real Madrid are currently 6th in La Liga, and Zidane’s replacement, Julen Lopetegui was relieved of his duties as manager after a 5-1 drubbing against Barcelona.
Zidane’s son, Enzo Zidane, meanwhile, has given an update over the manager’s future in football.
Zidane return to management:
Enzo Zidane has stated that the manager will return to football soon. He said that the pressure of the Real Madrid job was immense, and that his father needed a break from football.
“We all know that my father loves football and loves to coach,” Enzo told Spanish media outlet AS. “It’s most likely that he will return to coaching soon.”

Enzo also insisted that his father needed rest.
“Now he is resting because it’s something he needed. Even though managing Madrid is beautiful, it’s tough, with a lot of work,” Enzo said.
Q: Who do you think should win the Ballon d’Or?
Enzo Zidane: “Luka Modric. For me, he is an example and my favourite player. He is a great guy and he deserves it for all of these years, in which he has won 3 Champions Leagues and he has earned it. He had a great World Cup too.”

Zidane took over the position as Real Madrid’s head coach in January 2016 from Rafael Benitez, and led the side to 3 Champions League, and a La Liga title.
Enzo Zidane: “We all know that my dad loves football and he loves being a manager. For sure, he will be back again. It’s his decision. Now, he is taking advantage of the rest that he needed because at the end, Real Madrid is lovely and all but hard, with a lot of work.” pic.twitter.com/z7jsKcWsJD

Mirror has linked Zidane with a move to Manchester United or Bayern Munich. Both the clubs have had shaky starts to their season so far. While United are currently 7th in the league, Bayern Munich are 9 points behind league leaders Borussia Dortmund.
Q: Was Cristiano’s exit expected?
Enzo Zidane: “Nobody expected it. Neither did I. He decided to go and he is going well. He is missed but Madrid is a big club and without Cristiano, I don’t doubt they’ll adapt to do great things.”

With Enzo confirming that Zidane will return to management, it would be safe to assume that the manager might have a new job by the beginning of the 2019/20 season.
