Pogba inspired France to their second World Cup title yesterday.
The Manchester United midfielder shined as France lifted their second World Cup trophy, beating Croatia 4-2 in the final. Pogba scored a goal, and was central to many attacks throughout the match as France emerged as winners in the final.
Paul Pogba didn’t enjoy a very good season with Manchester United in 2017-18. He was also dropped by Jose Mourinho in the Premier League, and the season went trophyless for the club. He was the centre of much criticism from fans and former players alike, as he struggled for the club.
But the Frenchman ended up with World Cup triumph.
As he shined for France throughout the tournament and played an important role in the final, Paul Pogba appeared to send out a message to his critiques after the match.
He cupped his ear, wagged his finger and flinched his eyes, seemingly telling the fans that he doesn’t care about his criticism. Many praised Paul Pogba for his performances, and one of them was his former teammate, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Zlatan’s tweet:
The Swedish star, who has played with Paul Pogba during his time at Manchester United, congratulated Pogba and applauded his attitude. In his tweet, he wrote, “Let them talk but the game speaks for itself @paulpogba #pogcup #myapprentice #congratsfrance.”
