The Best 556 Icarus Loadout in Warzone 2 ft. WhosImmortal
The 556 Icarus always had a lesser picker rate compared to other weapons in the game. In comparison to other weapons, it has a 0.2% pick rate. However, it still has a lot of things going for it. Compared to that, the Cronen Squall has a 21.4% pick rate.
Even though the Squall was the best weapon in the game for a long time, a lot of other weapons are being experimented on to see what fits. That being said, the 556 Icarus has some advantages going for it. Let us talk about it.
Analysis Results
WhosImmortal analyzed the 556 Icarus and made a video about it explaining that the gun is pretty close to the Lachmann 556, ISO Hemlock, and the Cronen Squall. The LMG seemed to have the fastest TTK of all these weapons at closer ranges. It stays competitive in medium ranges and then has the highest TTK in the longer ranges.
Although we saw that it struggles to beat other rifles, it is easily more controllable which in essence might be a better choice in longer ranges. Sure it will be slower than the other weapons but it will still be as competitive as the Cronen Squall.
556 Icarus Attachments

The first attachment we are going to use is the Aim OP-V4 to provide us with a clear line of sight and visual of the enemy. This helps us stay on target and track the enemies better. Pair that up with the 5.56 High Velocity ammunition and you have got more bullet velocity to match the toughest guns in Warzone 2.0.
The Ftac Ripper 56 underbarrrel will be a staple in any AR or LMG due to its versatility. It provides aiming idle stability, hip-fire accuracy, and recoil stabilization to the weapon which helps it stay on target over longer ranges. Moving on to the Echoless-80 Muzzle. The attachment provides a healthy increase in bullet velocity, damage range, and recoil smoothness.
In addition, you will be hidden since it provides sound suppression. The last attachment is going to be the AC Coldforge 16” Barrel since it increases the damage range, bullet velocity, and hip-fire accuracy of the weapon further. These last two attachments let it compete with the best weapons in the game and stay competitive without any drawbacks.
