IPL Auction Postponed; Expected to be held in late February
The Indian Premier League Auction that was earlier planned to be held on 4th February is now postponed. This is due to the delay caused by Supreme Court in appointing a panel of administrators to run the board for cricket in the country.
Although the new date has not been finalised yet, it is expected to be somewhere around 20-25th of February. A BCCI media release read, “The Committee of Administrators (COA) met the BCCI officials today to take stock of the urgent, important matters mainly concerning the successful conduct of the IPL 2017.”
