WWE Champion Kofi Kingston gets brutalized by Samoa Joe after competing in back to back matches against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

Samoa Joe attacked WWE Champion Kofi Kingston tonight at Raw. The Dreadlocked Dynamo was on his way back after his matches against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. However, just when he thought he was done for the night, the Submission machine ambushed him and manhandled him.

Kofi tried to pick himself after the attack with the help of the referees. But Samoa Joe returned to choke him out with the Coquina clutch.

Kofi fights back to back matches on Raw

Earlier in the night, Kofi walked out for his scheduled match against Sami Zayn. Sami, accompanied by Owens, claimed that Kofi’s whole character was that of a man unable to win a match without the help of his friends.

Kofi reminded him that he beat Kevin Owens by himself at Money in the Bank. He also recalled his victory against Dolph Ziggler inside a steel cage at Stomping Grounds. The two had a back and forth on the mic before they finally took it to the ring.

Kofi and Zayn clashed in a good TV match with the WWE champion putting his opponent down with the roll up. He walked out with his championship before Kevin Owens called him back for an impromptu match with him. Kingston accepted the challenge despite being visibly exhausted.

The two had a very short match with Owens dominating the majority of it. However, Kofi showed enough resiliency to not go down so easily. The WWE champion managed to pick another win after Owens failed to make it back into the ring before the count of 10.

He walked back in triumph, not knowing that Samoa Joe stood there waiting to maul the champion.
