Can Pakistan qualify for semi-finals in 2019 Cricket World Cup?
Can Pakistan qualify for semi-finals: The Sportsrush presents before you Pakistan’s prospects of qualifying for semi-final of 2019 Cricket World Cup.
With only two victories in six matches in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Pakistan are currently at No. 7 at the points table. With the tournament into its business end now, there are serious concerns with respect to Pakistan’s chances of qualifying for the semi-finals of the tournament.
Social media might be overloaded regarding circumstances matching for Pakistan in both the 1992 World Cup and the current tournament. Having said that, only time will tell if they will be able to convert these co-incidences into on-field performances.
Honestly, Pakistan’s 1992 connection is getting really scary now

While they have done comparatively better in the recent part of the tournament, they have a stern task in front of them if they intend to play in the knockout matches of this tournament.
Can Pakistan qualify for semi-finals
While Australia have already qualified for the semi-finals, New Zealand and India are unlikely to affect Pakistan’s chances. It is the fourth position that Pakistan, England, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be fighting for.
Currently playing their seventh match against New Zealand at Edgbaston, Pakistan will be looking to chase a 238-run target to make sure that things don’t become all the more difficult for them.
If Pakistan win all their remaining matches (including the ongoing match), they will end the league phase with 11 points. In that scenario, the trio of England, Bangladesh (preferably the first one against India) and Sri Lanka will have to lose one of their two matches.

If Pakistan lose today, they’ll have to win their remaining two matches while both England and Sri Lanka will have to lose at least two matches each. With Pakistan and Bangladesh to play their last league match against each other, it has it in it to become a virtual quarter-final especially if India defeat Bangladesh.
If Pakistan lose both against New Zealand and Afghanistan, qualifying might be impossible for them for they will end the tournament with seven points (if they beat Bangladesh).
