“He Just Came Back From the ACL”: Cardi B Details Stefon Diggs’ Hard Work as Patriots Eye Super Bowl
After coming up short for the last decade of his life with the Buffalo Bills and the Minnesota Vikings, the New England Patriots were finally able to give Stefon Diggs something that no one, not even himself, could have. And that’s a Super Bowl appearance.
For the past several years, the month of January has seen fans take to social media to post pictures of Diggs crying on various playoff fields after each and every single one of his eliminations. But now, for the first time ever, we have one depicting the veteran receiver crying tears of joy.
Of course, Diggs isn’t the only one who’s emotional right now. As the latest mother of his child and hip-hop sensation, Cardi B, made sure to get in on the celebrations, too. The NFL Network crew decided to interview her on the field following the Patriots’ win, and while her hair color was more indicative of a Seattle Seahawks fan than anything else, she was clearly thrilled for both New England and her boyfriend.
“I’m feeling very excited. I’m very happy for him, very proud of him. You know, he just came back from the ACL, and we seen the progress and the process of him going through that. From the first time he started running back and now joining the Patriots, and then actually going to the Super Bowl, I’m just very excited for him and excited for the whole team, they been working they b*tts off.”

It has yet to be confirmed whether or not the Grammy award winner will be in attendance for Super Bowl LX. But given her recent string of appearances, it wouldn’t be a surprise if she’s seen on screen celebrating the game on February 8th.
Diggs gets emotional as Patriots secure Super Bowl berth
His five catches and 17 receiving yards from the AFC Championship won’t jump off the stat sheet, but according to the man himself, it was more than enough for him.
“They were calling me washed. Saying I didn’t have it anymore,” Diggs recalled during his post-game interview. “I just wanted to prove to myself I am who I say I am.”
Having collected multiple Pro Bowls and an All-Pro title throughout the past 11 seasons, a bit of playoff success figured to be the only thing missing from Diggs‘ resume. Now, he’s just one game away from realizing his childhood dream, and that will likely result in a more spirited performance than the one we just saw.

“This team took a chance on me. I just wanted to make them proud.”

Of course, winning the Super Bowl is easier said than done, especially when you’re going up against a juggernaut of a defense like the Seattle Seahawks. The same defense that gave up the fewest points of any unit in the league this season.
Suffice to say, he may be close, but Diggs is still so far away from securing what matters most to him, so if he truly wants to feel that ring on his finger, then he’ll need to do much more with his opportunities during his next outing.
