India vs New Zealand Match News: When will the IND vs NZ 2019 World Cup semi-final start on reserve day?
India vs New Zealand Match News: The Sportsrush present before you all the important details of play from India vs New Zealand semi-final.
The first semi-final of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between India and New Zealand at Old Trafford saw a one-day match being converted into a two-day encounter. In what is a rare case in limited-over matches, the presence of a reserve day will most likely aid in finding out a clear winner.
After New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to bat, New Zealand didn’t get off to the best of starts. Not that the Kiwis lost wickets in heaps but were found wanting as far as scoring runs were concerned.
Skilled batsmen in Williamson and Ross Taylor not being able to rotate the strike saw them playing with a run rate of under 4 for the most part of their innings. What further didn’t go their away were the prevailing conditions which supported the bowlers.

When New Zealand had posted 211/5 in 46.1 overs, rain played the spoilsport as no more play was possible during the day. While the umpires did their best to ensure that both teams play a rain-curtailed match, incessant rains seemed to have other plans.
India vs New Zealand Match News
With the match being moved on the reserve day, there are a lot of concerns regarding the details of the match. It is worth mentioning that the match will start from the last ball bowled, i.e., New Zealand will play 23 balls before the Indian innings.
Currently, Taylor (67) and wicket-keeper batsman Tom Latham (3) are batting. For India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will complete his penultimate over. While he will bowl another over, fellow fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will bowl his remaining two overs.

As far as time concerned, the match will begin at 10:30 AM (local time) and 03:00 PM (IST). Therefore, there is no change in the starting time of the match.
If rain plays a further part in the match, DLS Method will be used to make sure that we find a clear winner. If no result is possible despite applying the DLS Method, India will go through to the final because of their better rank in the points table as compared to New Zealand.
