Neymar Transfer News: The Brazilian has a demand that further complicates his transfer to Barcelona from PSG.

Barcelona have just recently purchased Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid for €120 million. However, the Catalans are still reportedly looking to bring in Neymar. Doing that won’t be easy at all though. PSG bought Neymar for over 200 million Euros, three summers back in 2017 and while they are open to the Brazilian leaving the French capital, they have made the interested clubs know that they want a similar financial compensation to the one they spent during his acquisition.

This has left Barcelona reeling as they look for ways to gather funds for the Brazilian forward. Barcelona have contemplated selling a few of their stars. They have even entertained the idea of including a few of them in a player plus cash deal to secure the services of Neymar. However, no bid has been made yet.

Neymar’s Demand

To make matters worse, Neymar has his own demands that further complicate the issue. Spanish Outlet Marca have reported that the PSG star is still seeking a loyalty payment from the Catalan club – something that has caused issues between all parties ever since his arrival.

He wants the full £40million from his old club which was promised to him when he renewed his contract in 2016. Barcelona have so far only paid £18m. Neymar was due to get a second installment on July 31, 2017. However, that payment never arrived as Barcelona instead asked for asked Neymar to return the 18 million, they paid him. They claimed that the loyalty payment was offered to him for the entirety of his contract. Instead he took his chain and balls and left Camp Nou.

With Neymar’s future hanging by a thread, how Barcelona, PSG and Neymar deal with this situation will affect their futures as they head forward.
