Kohli says that the Aussie cricketers are not his friends anymore
India finished off the final 87 runs required for victory and completed a come from behind series win against Australia in Dharamsala today. (Kohli says that the Aussie cricketers are not his friends anymore)
This win marks the end of a brilliant home season for India in which they became Number One Test team in the world.
Many people have said that the recent India Australia series was one of the best that they have seen in a very long time. While the cricket has been brilliant, this series has also had its own fair share of controversies.
Steve Smith apologized in the presentation as well as the post match press conference for letting his emotions get the better of him in this series.
“I have been pretty intense throughout this series. I really wanted to do well for the team. At times I have been in my own bubble and have let my emotions slip. I apologize for that” said Smith. (Kohli says that the Aussie cricketers are not his friends anymore)
But Virat Kohli was having none of that.

He stated quite clearly that his relationship with the Australian players has changed after this series and that he was not in any mood to let bygones be bygones.
“No, it has changed,” Kohli told a post-match media conference when asked if he stood by his affirmation of friendly rivalry made earlier in the series.
“I thought that was the case, but it has changed for sure.
“As I said, in the heat of the battle you want to be competitive but I’ve been proven wrong.
“The thing I said before the first Test, that has certainly changed and you won’t hear me say that ever again.” (Kohli says that the Aussie cricketers are not his friends anymore)
While both teams were guilty of sometimes letting their emotions get the better of them, the series did focus on high quality cricket towards the end which is why no one expected Kohli to say something like this in the press conference.
It is a shame because this the last thing that will be remembered from what has truly been a test series for the ages.
