Bumrah defends social media post with Virat Kohli: The Indian fast bowler shared an Instagram story to defend his previous post.

India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah had become the latest victim of online trolling after his photo with captain Virat Kohli had gone viral across social media platforms.

It all happened a day before the ongoing first Test of India’s tour of West Indies at Antigua when the Indian cricketers were spotted at a beach. While Bumrah shared a photo with Kohli across his social media profiles, he wouldn’t have expected people to perceive the same in a bad light.

People had accused Bumrah of portraying indecency on the platform as they were of the opinion that the Indian cricketer was wearing transparent shorts. The kind of comments on the post spoke highly of people not being happy about Bumrah’s attire.

Bumrah, who is currently playing in the Antigua Test, eventually responded to all the unwanted criticism by posting a story on social media platform Instagram. “Fun fact: The understanding of lights and shadows isn’t common these days. Hope people recover from it soon,” Bumrah wrote in his story.

Not part of the limited-overs leg of the tour, the ongoing Test is Bumrah’s first international appearance post the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Opening the bowling alongside Ishant Sharma, Bumrah had registered bowling figures of 18-4-55-1.
