Ravi Ashwin trolls fan: The premier Indian off-spinner stood tall on his outspoken nature on social media platform Twitter.

During the second day of the fifth Test of the ongoing 2019 Ashes series between England and Australia at The Oval, Australia batsman Steve Smith continued his golden run in the series by scoring 27th Test half-century.

A 69-run partnership for the third wicket alongside Marnus Labuschagne saw Smith providing yet another rescue act after the Australian openers failed to provide a solid start. With Australia’s middle-order crumbling under pressure once again, it appeared as if Smith would register another magnificent hundred.

Smith’s innings was cut-short by England all-rounder Chris Woakes when he found him wanting in front of the stumps in the 62nd over. Before getting out, Smith scored 80 (145) with the help of nine fours and a six. In six innings in the series, Smith has scored 751 runs at an average of 125.16 including three centuries and half-centuries each.

India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was among the many illustrious names who were wax lyrical about Smith citing his unbelievable consistency. Ashwin took to social media platform Twitter to share his views on Smith’s innings.

A fan considered Ashwin’s appreciation for Smith as a sly dig on India captain Virat Kohli. While the fan tried to mention the same, Ashwin was quick to not just respond to him but also troll him then and there.
