Rashid Khan hits tennis forehand shot: The Afghani captain ended the innings on a high note in Chattogram last night.
During the fifth match of the ongoing Bangladesh Tri-Nation series between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe in Chattogram, Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan hit a stupendous tennis forehand shot to finish the innings on a high note for his team.
It all happened on the first delivery of the last over when Rashid came down the track to Zimbabwe pacer Chris Mpofu. With the bowler bowling a short delivery, Rashid was quick enough to bring out a tennis forehand shot as he hit the ball towards the mid-wicket area for six runs.
Rashid, who came in to bat at No. 8 in the penultimate over, ended up scoring 9* (6) with the help of a six. After winning the toss and electing to bat, Afghanistan scored 155/8 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.
Having scored 61 (47) with the help of four fours and four sixes, wicket-keeper batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz was the highest run-scorer for Afghanistan. With bowling figures of 4-0-30-4, Mpofu was the pick of Zimbabwean bowlers.
Zimbabwe captain Hamilton Masakadza, who played his last T20I last night, scored his 11th T20I half-century to seal victory for his team. Opening the batting with wicket-keeper batsman Brendan Taylor (19), Masakadza ended up scoring 71 (42) with the help of four fours and five sixes.
