Manchester United manager Ole Solskjaer claims he is happy with the result against AZ Alkmaar
Manchester United manager Ole Solskjaer claims that he is happy with the result against AZ Alkmaar, after his side plays 0-0 draw.
Manchester United gave a string of disappointing results in last few matches, but the fans thought that the Red Devils will be able to dominate their group in Europa League, considering the quality of their counterparts.
However, the English giants are failing to do so in it, as Manchester United registered a 0-0 draw against AZ Alkmaar, and fans are boiling with the result.
But, Manchester United manager Ole Solskjaer is not upset with the result. On contrary, he has said that he is happy with the scoreline against the Dutch club.
“I’m very happy with the boys, we come away with a good performance.” Solskjaer told BT Sport after the full-time whistle.
“It should have been three points, a nailed on penalty. You can’t even discuss it. Good performance against a good opponent on a very bad surface.”
Solskjaer went on to claim that if “you get your draws” on the road, then you’ll be “fine” in the competition. He also spoke further about the failings to award a penalty.
“If you get your draws away from home [in the Europa League] and win your home games you’ll be fine. We go to Belgrade wanting a win and that sets up up nicely.
“I just couldn’t believe what I saw [Rashford not getting a penalty]. Same as Arsenal, the handball that should have been 2-0. It’s frustrating now these little things because the boys deserve more.”
