Nicholas Pooran ball tampering incident: West Indies cricketer could land in hot water with ICC after suspicious act with ball during the 3rd ODI vs Afghanistan.
Nicholas Pooran is one of the very few WI players in recent times to have consistently performed well. In a team that has struggled to live to their expectations despite boasting of so many match winners, Pooran has shone as a reliable batsman.

This Nicholas Pooran continues to make important strides in the development of his game. I hope he can see him working his way up the batting order in a year or two.

However, it seems that the 24-year old could be in serious trouble with the ICC; Should they investigate the following video featuring him.

Ball tampering has become a huge issue in the world of cricket after Steve Smith and David Warner were handed 1-year bans on charges of tampering the ball during a Test match at the Newlands in South Africa.
The duo have since made their comeback into International cricket. However, they will likely continue to be haunted by the incident for quite some time. While the ICC has not made any comment on the incident yet, it will be interesting to see how they deal with the incident in the wake of the awareness around ball conditions.
At the moment of writing, West Indies have lost 3 wickets for 76 runs. Shai Hope and Pooran are currently at the crease. They are chasing a target of 250 to complete the whitewash while Afghanistan are chasing a win, having lost their last 10 ODI’s.
