Dale Steyn tears an Indian fan down for belittling South Africa’s emphatic win over England
Dale Steyn tears an Indian fan down for belittling South Africa’s emphatic win over England in the first test at Centurion.
South Africa overcame their terrible tour of India with a resounding win over England to lead the 4-match series 1-0. Former South Africa pacer Dale Steyn took to Twitter to congratulate his compatriots for starting the series with a convincing performance.

Steyn wrote:
“Well done to the Proteas! Mark and Faf seem to have put together a team that looks hungry, has fight, but above all look menacing with real intent towards their skill. All characteristics that I grew up with when I played under Smith and co. Gr8 to see the boys back! #proteas”.

The victory happened to be the Proteas’ first victory since the inception of the World Test Championship. However, a troll on Twitter was bent on mocking the achievement with the claim that the victory meant little as it came at their home.
Steyn who was known for his wile and brutality with the ball during his heydays proved that he was just as vicious with his words as he made sure that the fan wouldn’t leave unscathed after showing such ignorance.

Steyn, who currently plies his trade in the Big Bash League with Melbourne Stars, savagely replied:
“I guess India in India also doesn’t count then either… And just by the way, God has nothing to do with this. Idiot,”

Top points for not shutting the troll down without resorting to his level.
Earlier in the match, England were set a difficult target of 376 runs. The visitors started well stitching together a 92 run opening partnership and looked good to script an incredible victory. However, once Rory Burns departed, England began to play for survival rather than the win.
In fact, off England’s last 6 batsmen, only Jos Butler managed to reach double figures. England were put out of their misery when Kagiso Rabada bowled Stuart Broad to end the match. South Africa will hope to continue their momentum and take an unseizable lead in their next match. England on the other hand will look to stay alive in the series and seize the momentum back.
