N’Golo Kante injury: How long will the Chelsea midfielder be out for?

N’Golo Kante injury: The Blues midfield mainstay injured himself once again during the clash against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s campaign suffered yet another setback after world cup winner N’Golo Kante limped off the pitch during the blues clash against Manchester United in the Premier League. The hosts lost the match 2-0 with Anthony Martial and Harry Maguire scoring in either halves.

Kante has had a miserable campaign with Chelsea this season. He has only managed 17 appearances for Chelsea this season and looks set to miss out on more after being replaced by Mason Mount in the 12^th minute in their last match.

How long will N’Golo Kante be out for?

According to French outlet L’Equipe, a scan has revealed a ‘Grade 2’ tear and he could be out for three weeks. Which means that N’Golo Kante is likely to miss the next next two Premier League matches against Tottenham and Bournemouth through injury.

He will also miss the Champions League round of 16 first leg against Bayern Munich as well as the 5th round of the FA Cup against Liverpool. He could make a return during Chelsea’s clash against Everton on March 8; or against Aston Villa on March 14.

Since joining the club in 2016, Kante has become an integral component of the side. However, his campaign has been plagued with injuries this season which has forced him to several matches. The French midfielder will be looking to make a return soon with the Euro 2020 in horizon.
