Will Buxton aggressively approaches Lewis Hamilton’s comments on George Floyd’s protests
Will Buxton aggressively approaches the rant made by Lewis Hamilton who spoke on the recent protests erupted after the death of Geoge Floyd.
Lewis Hamilton was the first F1 driver to voice out his support to seek justice for George Floyd after the latter was seen brutally being choked by the Minneapolis police on a video captured.
Moreover, he also criticized the F1 community as a whole for not speaking out on the issue, but after his comment, few drivers have opened up their thoughts and posted stories on social media writing ‘black lives matter’.
Meanwhile, Hamilton’s words did not go well with Will Buxton who fiercely replied to the British driver’s comments. “No sign from anyone in your industry? Look again. Known you a decade and a half. Open your eyes. We see. We feel. Don’t cast us out.”
However, Buxton immediately got outraged remarks from people online, and Formula one digital presenter and reporter for Liberty Media had to remove it.
But he had also posted a tweet that read, “So you put your head above the parapet. You try to stand up for something. Something you believe in. Honesty. Decency,”
“Truth. And then you get annihilated by those you tried to represent and protect. And you wonder why you bothered. F***ing hell. Social media is a trip.” This tweet was soon taken down by him.
Thereafter, he issued an apology saying, “I only meant good, I only ever meant good. I’m sorry if you thought otherwise.”, on the other hand, Hamilton made no following response to Buxton.

Hamilton has been vocal about certain issues before too, and this particular case has ignited open support from various celebrities, especially the black celebrities/athletes, who somewhere also associate with the discrimination faced on the basis of race.
