Kimi Raikkonen: “If I’m not having fun, 2020 will be my last year in F1”
Kimi Raikkonen: Former F1 Champions talks about his possibility of taking retirement after this season, says if he doesn’t enjoy he’ll quit.
Kimi Raikkonen is one of the last remaining drivers from the last generation and despite having a roller-coaster of a career, he is one of the most loved drivers in the history of the sport.
But like everyone, even his time is coming up and the Finnish driver has dropped a massive update about his career before the start of the 2020 season.
When asked if this year will be his last, Raikkonen said to Infobae: “I already said I’m going to ride this season and then I’ll decide. If I continue to enjoy racing this year, I will continue. If not, then I will retire. ”
Raikkonen is one of the longest-serving drivers in Formula 1 and was the last driver to win the driver’s championship while racing for Ferrari, back in 2007.
The Finnish driver once again returned to Ferrari in 2014 and went onto race for them for 5 years along with Sebastian Vettel and now he is serving for Alfa Romeo racing.
It is possible that Raikkonen will overtake Rubens Barrichello’s record as a driver with the most F1 races in history in 2020. “I don’t really care about that. It doesn’t make me happy. I think I will remember many more things about my career than the number of races I’ve done.” said Raikkonen.

Apart from this, when asked about whether he will miss racing in Formula 1, Raikkonen replied “I don’t think I will miss it. There are good people and I will keep in touch with them, but that’s it.
“I’ve spent many years there and when I choose to quit, know I’m sure I’ll find enough things to keep me busy. ” he further said.
