Chris Tremain returns to New South Wales after six-year stint with Victoria
Chris Tremain returns to New South Wales: The Australia pacer has returned home after spending six years at Victoria.
It is homecoming for Australia pacer Chris Tremain as far as his state side is considered. Having made his first-class debut for New South Wales in 2012, Tremain represented Victoria for six years which also saw him playing four ODIs for Australia during their tour of South Africa in 2016.
In eight matches for Victoria last season, Tremain had picked 19 wickets at an average of 24.57, an economy rate of 2.55 and a strike rate of 81.3. However, him taking most Sheffield Shield wickets since 2016 is likely to be the reason for New South Wales to acquire his services for the next season.
In addition to Tremain, NSW also announced the return of spinner Adam Zampa recently. These intriguing announcements have further aided NSW to build on their stellar bowling attack.
Apart from the duo, NSW also have the likes of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyon, Sean Abbott, Harry Conway, Trent Copeland, Mickey Edwards and Liam Hatcher for this season.
Chris Tremain returns to New South Wales
Tremain, 28, hopes to continue his top form at New South Wales. Other than the professional aspect, Tremain also talked about the move being inspired from his personal life. “I hope that if I can continue providing that service then I’ll contribute to the squad’s success.
I am loving all the @CricketNSW signings. So many players coming back home to where it started. Makes me a very proud blue bagger! #sammyjo #zamps #tremain

“Sydney is where my cricket career was forged, but it’s fantastic being so close to family back at Yeoval where it really all started. We were happy in Melbourne but with a young son and a nine-hour drive between him and his grandparents, we limited their interaction. Now we have the opportunity to grow a better relationship between Noah and his grandparents,” Tremain said on the move from Victoria to New South Wales.
