Weather Forecast Manchester: What is the weather prediction for England vs West Indies Old Trafford Test?
Weather Forecast Manchester: The SportsRush presents for you the detailed weather prediction for the second ENG vs WI Test.
Coming on the back of losses in the first Test match of their last five series (one-off match series not included), England have no option than to win the second against West Indies starting from tomorrow at Old Trafford in Manchester.
With West Indies being the current winners of the Wisden Trophy and winning the first Test, even a draw for them will mean that they will retain the trophy irrespective of what happens in the third Test match at the same venue.
However, it would only be right for the visitors to press for a second consecutive victory as they have had the better of England in the last couple of years.
It is worth mentioning that West Indies have won five out of their last eight Tests against England and that they remain the favourites despite the return of opposition captain Joe Root.
Weather Forecast Manchester
While there is a slight possibility of showers in Manchester today, the fact that there is no such forecast for the next five days should be a source of amazement for the fans around the globe for the series remains the only international cricketing contest at the moment.
Despite Manchester expected to remain under cloud cover on most days this week, rain won’t play spoilsport much like in the first Test in Southampton. Barring a brief shower prediction on Day 5 (Monday), players should play uninterrupted on the first four days.
The #ENGvWI 🏏 test moves to Old Trafford tomorrow. Will there be any rain interruptions? (waits for jokes about Manchester weather 😉)

Considering the nature of Old Trafford’s surface, there are high chances of batsmen calling the shots in the absence of rain especially in the first two innings. Therefore, sensible batting from the team batting first should see them score in vicinity of 400 runs in the first innings.
CORRECTION: Slight rain in Manchester on Day 1 has delayed the toss. However, the weather is expected to be suitable for playing as the day progresses. Day 3 (Saturday) might witness showers but only in the morning. Expect the players to resume with play especially in the second and third session.
