William Regal announces a series of triple threat matches for the NXT North American Title

William Regal announces a series of triple threat matches that will culminate in a ladder match at NXT TakeOver 30 for the NXT North American Title.

WWE NXT General manager, William Regal took to Twitter to tease an announcement on NXT tonight. The long serving GM of the yellow brand made it appear that he was set to step down from a role he has relished and thrived in.

“Serving as the General Manager or #WWENXT has been an incredible honor. To see the men and women of this brand over the last couple of months has been inspiring and invigorating. Tonight’s major announcement will be yet another step forward for @WWENXT,” Regal wrote in his tweet.

In true WWE style however, the Tweet was meant to be a swerve for a twist very few can say they saw coming. The show opened The show opened with Regal coming out right off the bat and introducing the NXT and North American Champion Keith Lee.

The NXT Champion then declared his decision to relinquish the North American Championship in the name of opportunity. William Regal then announced a series of triple threat matches; The winners of which will take part in a ladder match at NXT TakeOver 30 for the NXT North American Title.
