Robert Lewandowski is unhappy with his Bayern Munich team mates

Ace striker, Robert Lewandowski should be a very happy man. He has helped Bayern Munich to another Bundesliga title, while enjoying yet another prolific goal scoring season. But apparently that is not enough for the Pole. After the last match of the season, it was reported that Robert Lewandowski is unhappy with his Bayern Munich team mates, as he blames them for missing out on the award for the top goal scorer in the league.

This is what Lewandowski himself had to say at the end of the season,

“It doesn’t hurt anymore, but it did at first.

“Maybe because I wasn’t completely satisfied with the way my team helped me. Immediately after the last game, I felt anger. I was disappointed with my team. That was the feeling I had.”

Lewandowski had won the award last year but lost out to Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the final day. Lewandowski was in the lead heading into the final day with 30 goals. But he failed to score any on the last day, which enabled Aubameyang to score a brace and take the award with 31 goals.

Lewandowski, 28, now has 77 Bundesliga goals in 96 appearances for the German giants. After establishing himself as one of the premier strikers in world football at Dortmund, Lewandowski made his move to arch rivals Bayern Munich. While he struggled initially, the Pole has now written himself into Bundesliga folklore as one of the best goal scorers the league has ever seen.

Lewandowski will now be seen in action during Poland’s World Cup qualifier against Romania, later this week.
