The much awaited fight between, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje, is finally set for October 24. Dana White has confirmed the news.

There is no shortage of action in UFC, however one of the company’s top prospects, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s absence, became a matter of great concern. The UFC Lightweight champion, lost his father to COVID 19, early in July, and since then speculations about his return, his retirement were blatantly made.

On Tuesday, Dana White, the president of UFC, showed the door to all the speculations, as he confirmed that Khabib Nurmagomedov is all set to mark his return against Justin Gaethje. The ultimate showdown between the two is scheduled for October 24, 2020.

What did Dana White Precisely Said?

In the past, White has conveyed about giving the Russian, time to recover from his father’s demise. However, In a chat with CNN, upon being asked about the potential fight, “Dana White said “It’s going to happen, I tell you right here, right now. That fight’s going to happen: Khabib vs. Gaethje, October 24.”

The date is set, but the Venue is not, and will be a subject of rumination in the coming weeks.

Dana White paid heed to the fighter’s status quo, and stated, “It’s been very rough on him, his father was a hero to him. He loved his father. They had a very, very close relationship, and it was very hard on him.”
