Lando Norris Helmet: McLaren star displays helmut designed by 6-year-old Eva Muttram
Lando Norris Helmut: McLaren star reveals the design of his new Helmut made by a 6-year-old child Eva Muttram, set to use it this weekend.
With Formula 1 lifting the pointless rule of limiting the number of helmet designs a driver could wear each season for 2020, McLaren star Lando Norris has decided to wear fan-submitted designed helmets in every Grand Prix.
The 20-year-old racer revealed the first winner of the competition, as Norris revealed a helmet design ahead of the British Grand Prix on his Twitch channel designed by a 6-year-old kid Eva Muttram.
“I love it – it’s very original,” said Norris during the unveil. “We went through a huge amount of designs, probably thousands of them… I wanted to go with something that was just very original,” said Norris.
“something I wasn’t used to, something that probably means a lot to the person, and it means a lot to me. It reminds me of myself when I was younger, designing helmets, drawing away when I was five or six years old.”

Norris further thanked Eva for making a design loved by Norris and his team. It was revealed by the Motorsport that Eva’s designs were submitted by her father, which got eventually selected by Mclaren.
“My helmet design for this weekend! THANK YOU EVA! Eva’s six and she created this for my design competition and it just reminded me a lot of when I was younger scribbling away coming up with some cool things, it’s just super original,” said Norris on Instagram.
“Thanks for taking the time to design it, Eva, I’ll be wearing it all weekend and thanks to everyone else who sent in their design as well. Hopefully, we can do more stuff like this soon,” added Norris.
The British driver is known for using fancy Helmut designs since 2019, he used a hand-painted design Helmut at Japanese Grand Prix, a ‘Day of the Dead’-inspired helmet for the 2019 Mexican Grand Prix, and a Valentino Rossi tribute lid for the Italian Grand Prix.
