Naomi addresses WWE SmackDown botch during her match against Lacey Evans where she seemingly failed to pull off the Canadian destroyer.

Naomi has long been a fan favourite and many have felt that the WWE has been holding her back. There is a section of fans however, who believe that while good, the former WWE SmackDown women’s champion is just not at an elite level in comparison to her contemporaries.

Their arguments were given new impetus when Naomi seemingly botched a Canadian destroyer during her match with Lacey Evans. The WWE Superstar has now finally explained her fumble and revealed what her intent was with that move.

“It’s just a sliding blockbuster not a Canadian Destroyer, not something I tried to copy from someone else, just a move I thought of bc I like doing blockbusters and wanted a different way to do it but anyway I’ll improve it,” Naomi wrote on her Twitter.

While there were some who did not buy her response, there were plenty of fans who told her not to be too hard on herself, including a particular WWE Superstar in the Women’s division on the same roster.

Come on @NaomiWWE.. That was neither a Canadian Destroyer nor Blockbuster. If that was in fact a Blockbuster, your opponent wouldn’t have their head facing the ground. It was more like a Sunset Flip but I can appreciate the attempt. Just admit there was a f*uck up and move on
