England team engages in fun activity: English players were seen playing an interesting round of football outside the ground.

Staying loyal to the weather prediction for Day 1, the first day of the first Test of the ongoing Pakistan’s tour of England in Manchester witnessed only 49 overs as rain and bad light joined hands to play spoilsport for yet another time this season.

Multiple halts starting from the first session saw players frequently travelling between the ground and dressing rooms after Pakistan captain Azhar Ali won the toss and chose to bat.

With Pakistan scoring 139/2 at stumps on the back of an elegant half-century from vice-captain Babar Azam (69*), the visitors should be pleased with their effort for visiting teams don’t necessarily to so well especially on the first day of a Test series in England.

While Azam and opening batsman Shan Masood’s (46*) 96-run partnership was the highlight for Pakistan, England’s Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer picked a wicket apiece in the first session.

When bad light stopped the game in the last session, English players came together to play a round of football although only with their heads. The video of the fun session to kill time went viral on social media platform Twitter after England Cricket posted it.

The likes of Joe Root, James Anderson, Chris Woakes, Sam Curran, Jos Buttler, Ollie Pope and Mark Wood stood from the dressing room to the ground in such a manner that ended up becoming a source of amazement for fans who were missing cricket due to the continuous interruptions.
