Damian Priest Captures The North American Championship At NXT Takeover XXX

Damian Priest wins the ladder match at NXT Takeover XXX, thereby became the new North American Champion.

After weeks of build-up and filling not two, not three, but five spots for the ladder match. Bronson Reed, Cameron Grimes, Damian Priest, Johnny Gargano, and Velveteen Dream, finally squared off for the vacant North American Championship at NXT Takeover XXX. And it is Damian Priest who rose to the top and seized the opportunity.

It was expected that the match would be a spectacle of a complete mayhem, and it did not disappoint. 5 men were involved with a bunch of ladders at their disposal to fight and climb up to the top to grab the gold.

The match saw some clean metal strikes, high flying maneuvers, blood, nasty falls from the top, and of course the in-ring action. Each participant produced some wonderful moments, and each came under the spotlight while reaching the top of the ladder.

Candace LeRae, who accompanied Johnny Gargano was the subject of the highlight of the match.

After more than a quarter of an hour, it was Johnny Gargano and Damian Priest, who reached the top and had hands on the title. Both ultimately engage in a tug-of-war, where Gargano was dropped to the ground, leaving Priest up top.
