‘Teach Donald Trump to not be racist’- Steve Kerr lambasts Jared Kushner for NBA Boycott stance

Jared Kushner’s pushback at the NBA players boycott met with a strong reaction from Steve Kerr. The Warriors’ head coach asked him to teach father-in-law Donald Trump not to be racist.

The NBA, led by the Milwaukee Bucks, went on a 3-day boycott that ends tomorrow. They did this to stand up for the police brutality in the killing of Jacob Blake, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, among others. The NBA and NBPA have come together to add a 3-point agenda on how the league will approach voting reforms and facilitate voting.

Steve Kerr lambasts Jared Kushner for his take on NBA boycott

Jared Kushner commented yesterday that NBA players have the privilege to be able to ‘take days off from work to protest’. His take was ridiculed on today’s episode of The Daily Show, hosted by Trevor Noah. Kerr added his own take to Noah’s roast of the Senior Advisor to the President of the United States.

Kerr is among the more outspoken coaches in the NBA. Like Gregg Popovich, he’s always got a wry insult or two for the racist Trump administration when he can.

Among the NBA coaches with the clout and following to be able to get away with such an insult, Kerr ranks somewhere near the top. Despite only watching the boycott from the sidelines, it is clear that he is spiritually with the players.
