Butler also remarked, with a comedic undertone, that once the 4th quarter started, he wouldn’t be passing the ball to which his teammates replied, “That’s fine with me.”
The Heat All-Star also gave a shout out to future Hall-of-Famer and Heat legend, Dwyane Wade, for being in touch with Butler, helping him navigate through these playoffs. Wade and Butler exchanged texts immediately after the Game 1 win.
“I told my teammates I probably wasn’t going to pass the ball. I made a couple shots. And they said, ‘That’s fine with me,’” Butler said with a smile on his face.
How has Butler been in these Playoffs?
The Miami Heat remain undefeated in the 2020 Playoffs, as they swept the Indiana Pacers in the 1st round and have now won Game 1 in the 2nd round.

This is in large part due to the perimeter defense and the clutch baskets Jimmy Butler provides. He is also shooting well over 60% from beyond the arc in the Playoffs. Jimmy became one of only 3 players in Heat Playoff history to log 40+ points.
