Ferrari F1 News: The former Ferrari boss has been pretty vocal about the performance of the Italian team, but not anymore.

Ferrari have had a disastrous season so far, with no silver lining in sight. Former President Luca di Montezemolo had been critical of the team’s leadership over the past few weeks. But he has now decided to keep mum “for the love of Ferrari”.

“For those who love Ferrari, and I love Ferrari a lot, this is the moment when it is better to be quiet.”

Former F1 champion Nico Rosberg spoke out though, calling the Ferrari car “undriveable and dangerous”.

Sebastian Vettel speaks out on Ferrari’s troubles this season

Sebastian Vettel suffered a brake failure in the Italian GP at Monza. The German is in his last year with Ferrari, and it is turning out to be a major disappointment. But he stressed on the need to keep doing his job as the Ferrari driver. He had this to say, as quoted by Kolner Express.

“I’m trying to do my job until the end of the year. We are in this situation now and we have to try our best to bring the season to a worthy end. Of course, that’s not so easy for me when things are going like this.”

Ralf Schumacher also spoke out on the Vettel situation at Ferrari, fearing the worst for his compatriot. Ralf feels the performance this season could convince Vettel to take a ‘sebbatical’.

“The car is really bad now. I can imagine he will take a year off. I’ve experienced that myself. After three years at Toyota, I just didn’t feel like it anymore.”

It remains to be seen if Sebastian Vettel takes a break or announces his retirement. These seem highly unlikely though, with Aston Martin set to have him next season, according to multiple reports.
