Gareth Bale is back in Tottenham Hotspur, the club which provided him prominence and a big move to Real Madrid. Seven years later, the Welsh International is back with the North London based club and things are hyping up.

He has already been backed by manager Jose Mourinho, who openly expressed happiness for his addition in the team. Though, Bale will be unavailable for the first few matches, as he joined the club with a sustained injury.

Spurs have actively posted about Bale ever since they openly declared his signing. On Saturday, the North London club announced that he will wear no. 9 t-shirt for the club.

Before joining Real Madrid, Bal used to wear number 11, but now it is occupied by Erik Lamela, which is why the Welsh International will have to settle with number 9.

Players who have worn No.9 have not tended to set the world alight in recent times for Spurs, with Vicent Janssen, Roberto Soldado and Roman Pavlyuchenko the latest three to wear the number.

A move for career revival?

Gareth Bale’s last few days at Real Madrid was nothing les than a toxic marriage. Where both parties were not willing to be associated with each other anymore.

The only hindarance was Bal’s wages and the Welsh winger was not ready to compromise on that and was only ready to leave the club only if his financial agreements are met.

Currently, Real Madrid has found an agreement with Tottenham over his wages, making the move a smooth process. However, this love is a positive step for Bale to be at the top of his game.

Bale has not regressed drastically and still have in him to be a great player, but he clearly lacked motivational Santiago Bernabeu, with Zinedine Zidane openly admitting on sidelining him, but with Mourinho needing him, things can be different now.
