“I feel like I’m only getting started I feel physically in great shape”- Lewis Hamilton ready to make next year challenge
“I feel like I’m only getting started. I feel physically in great shape”- Lewis Hamilton on the idea of continuing in Formula 1 next year.
Till date, there were multiple rumours of Lewis Hamilton retiring from F1 as he hadn’t extended his contract with Mercedes despite being into the last few months of his current contract.
But after the win at the Turkish Grand Prix, Hamilton’s recent words would now debunk all the hearsay around his retirement as the 7 time World champion reveals that he is ready to drive more.
7X Formula 1 World Champion. Wow. To everyone that has supported me along the way, this is for you. To my incredible family, where do I even start? I am eternally grateful for your unconditional love, sacrifices and support… https://t.co/Uwb34qzCx2

“I know often say it’s beyond my wildest dreams… but I think my whole life I have secretly dreamt as high as this. It felt so far-fetched. I remember watching Michael winning the championships, and just to get one, or two, or three – it’s so hard to get. Seven is just unimaginable,” he said.
“What a day. There’s a lot to take in. I feel like I’m only getting started. I feel physically in great shape. This year has been a challenge that I didn’t know how to get through, but with the help of people around me, I managed to just keep my head above water and stay focused.”
“I’m really hopeful for a better year next year and I would love to stay. I feel like we’ve got a lot of work to do here, we’ve only just started our work to make ourselves accountable. I want to help Formula 1, I want to help Mercedes in that journey.”
Incredible drive in Istanbul proved his words
Lewis Hamilton was on the verge of not even come into the top 6 of the race, but an incredible performance in the second part of the race unexpectedly brought him in the lead.
Hamilton played a gamble with his tyres, but what could be more fruitful when they play out the best. However, it really showed that he is the best driver on the grid, and any day he could outclass his competitors even at this age.
