‘I don’t have a team’: Anthony Davis makes Lakers fan skip a heart beat with comments on free agency
Anthony Davis says he doesn’t have a team at the moment, to Chris B Haynes, as he is a free agent this offseason.
Acquiring Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans in the summer of 2019 served the Los Angeles Lakers well. Fast forward a year and a half and the Lakers are the 2020 NBA champions.
Anthony Davis was the perfect 1B to LeBron James’s 1A, as both led the Playoffs in total points across all 16 teams.
The main goal for the Lakers was to convince their superstar big man to stay on the team. A championship was the perfect way to do that. However, in a recent interview with Chris Haynes, he gave a scare to Lakers fans all over the world.
Anthony Davis doesn’t have a team as he is a free agent.
Anthony Davis recently opted out of his $28.7 million deal player option, to become an unrestricted free agent. This should be a cause for concern for the Lakers, however, Davis has made it clear he will re-sign with them.
While being interviewed by Yahoo Sports’s Chris B Haynes, the Brow said, “I don’t have a team, Chris.” This was just a moment of hilarity between Haynes as Davis as it is apparent that he will not test out the trade market.

What could Anthony Davis’s next contract look like?
The most probable contract that would be offered up to the DPOY candidate would be around the 4 year/ $140 million area.
Davis made it clear that he would be seeking a long term deal with the next team he signs with. A 4 year deal would be enough to satisfy Davis’s financial needs.
The Lakers could afford to offer him more but with LeBron not getting any younger, luring more star talent is perhaps a priority for the Lakers front office.
This would mean, leaving cap room open for more stars to sign.
