xQc Twitch ban: Stream-sniping xQc banned after Fall Guys fiasco at Twitch Rivals GlitchCon; Shroud & LolTyler pissed!
xQc Twitch Ban: Former Overwatch Pro & Dallas Fuel player Felix Lengyel is banned from Twitch & Twitch Rivals for stream-sniping in a Fall Guys tournament.
With xQc, it’s only a matter of time, it’s ALWAYS only a matter of time. Felix Lengyel is not new to bans & penalties by any means. He has been suspended from Overwatch tourneys many times during his professional career for misbehaviour. Twitch has also banned him thrice over the last 2 years already. All of the times, ahem ahem, for showing pornography, gorilla sex and other weird stuff. Of late, xQc had also come under fire for his toxic behaviour in Among Us. In fact, due to the continuous criticism that he faced from fellow streamers, xQc decided to stop streaming the game altogether. However, what happened next is surprising, even for someone like xQc.
Stream Sniping during a Fall Guys Twitch Rivals Event.
For a detailed idea of what happened, visit this article. However, to put it in brief, xQc helped his teammates at GlitchCon by stream-sniping an opposition team. And this team also consisted of big names like Shroud, DrLupo & LolTyler. So, due to Felix’s antics, their team got eliminated from the event. It was not the act of winning or losing however that angered fans & fellow streamers. Instead, it was the ethics of the entire issue. Twitch Rivals is a casually competitive tourney, if one may put it like that. And streamers gather to compete together & have a good time. Of course, an act of this sort on xQc’s part, therefore, acts as a major spoilsport for the whole atmosphere.
xQc Twitch Ban: Twitch Bans xQc from Twitch & Twitch Rivals.
To be fair, xQc did realise his mistake in the immediate aftermath of the event. He also apologised for his insincere behaviour. “I thought it would be funny… but it was still malicious. Sorry”, Felix said. However, Shroud & Tyler were still very unforgiving of the affair & Shroud even called for a Twitch ban. As it turns out, he wasn’t wrong!
At GlitchCon our player conduct rules were violated. We require all participants to abide by the same rules in order to play in a tournament. As a result, xQc has been issued a temporary Twitch account suspension, a temporary Twitch Rivals ban & forfeited associated prize money. pic.twitter.com/SA8umOdS9E

Yesterday, Twitch banned xQc for 6 months from any Twitch Rivals events. They also suspended his Twitch account for a week & fined him the entirety of his prize money at GlitchCon. xQc seems to have taken it in his stride as he so often does.
What I did had no impact on the outcome but it was wrong. Sorry again, I wasn’t trying to cheat out of malice I was just trying to entertain. 7 days suspension for now. Ride like lightning, crash like thunder. Go agane. PS: Give my winning to charity and i’ll match it pic.twitter.com/48hgZQoyg0

However, viewers still can’t get over the fact that he cheated in Fall Guys, which is largely a casual & friendly affair.
