Lewis Hamilton lauded as ‘Game Changer’ at GQ Men of the Year awards due to his mammoth achievement in F1 and social activism.

Lewis Hamilton made a big step as a global icon after winning the 7th World title, and his political activism further enhances his reputation among the people adores him.

Now, it has been reported that the Mercedes racer has been hailed by GQ as the “Game Changer” during their Men of the year awards felicitation, acknowledging his significant presence this presence.

“My skills are getting sharper – my intuition and understanding of strategy, my understanding of my tyres,” Hamilton said to the GQ. “I’m getting stronger and I didn’t expect that.

“And I didn’t know at what point I was going to plateau, but I’m realising that I’m getting better and that is a great feeling.” He added the improvements do not come “without the hard work”.

Hamilton among all the drivers took the most active stance against racism, especially after the breakthrough of the Black Lives Matter movement, after which he decided to take a knee in the earlier days of the season, joined by many of his colleagues.

“I started experiencing racism when I was five and people looked upon it so lightly when someone would throw out these words, the bullying and the beatings and intimidation,” Hamilton said.

“My dad always said, ‘Do your talking on the track’, so I held my tongue, but we suppress a lot of things and all my suppressed emotions came up and I was like, ‘You know what? I have to do something. I cannot stay silent’.

“If we all stay silent, it will continue for generations. I look at my niece and nephew and do not want them to experience what I experienced,” he said.
