“I feel like I relate to him” – Keith Lee shares his honest opinion of Randy Orton
Keith Lee shares his honest opinion of Randy Orton. The Viper was the former NXT Double Champion’s first feud on the main roster.
It is an open secret that the WWE thinks very highly of Keith Lee. He shone at Survivor Series last year and was easily the standout of all Royal Rumble participants not named Drew McIntyre or Brock Lesnar. He also became NXT’s first double champion before making the move to RAW.

Lee has not been unbeatable, evidenced by the fact that he lost his first match on the main roster and has gone on to lose a couple of times more since. However, he is yet to suffer a clean loss and even has a clean win against Randy Orton at a pay-per-view no less. Never mind the fact that Orton was the number one contender for the WWE Championship at the time!

The WWE may be in awe of Lee but the big man is enamored by Orton. He called it an honor to face the Viper and expressed gratitude for the opportunity.
“At the end of the day, nothing takes that moment away from me, but at the same time, you have to acknowledge who Randy Orton is, and, like you said, what he means to this business,” Lee told Sports Illustrated.
“He’s different—the company looks to him in a high, bright light because that’s what he is worthy of. Everything he has done, to me, is brilliant. I like watching Randy Orton a lot. In some ways, I feel like I relate to him, as well. All I can say is that was an honor, and it was something very tremendous for a Keith Lee introduction. I am grateful for that opportunity.”
Lee will face AJ Styles and Riddle on RAW tonight to earn an opportunity to face Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship. He has previously faced McIntyre to a no result in a non title match. It will be interesting if Lee comes out on top and finally get a proper clash between the two behemoths.
