Riley Meredith: The fast bowler from Hobart Hurricanes was seen bowling at express pace against Adelaide Strikers in Hobart.

During the fifth match of the ongoing 10th season of the Big Bash League between Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes in Hobart, Hobart Hurricanes pacer Riley Meredith bowled at an express pace to dismantle the opposition batsmen.

After being introduced into the attack in the seventh over, Meredith dismissed Adelaide Strikers’ Jonathan Wells (0) on only the second delivery that he faced. It was on the last delivery of the same over that Meredith bowled a bouncer to Ryan Gibson clocking at 152.2 kmph.

On the second delivery of the ninth over, Meredith put on display brilliant football skills to find Gibson short of his crease at the striker’s end. Just as Matt Renshaw played a delivery from Meredith, him and Gibson called for a quick single.

What followed was Meredith running towards the ball and kicking it to run out Gibson (7). In what was an impressible spell of bowling, Meredith registered bowling figures of 4-0-30-2.

While Meredith and Botha picked a couple of wickets each, all-rounder James Faulkner was the pick of the bowlers for Hurricanes with bowling figures of 4-0-21-3.

Chasing a 175-run target, Strikers registered a batting collapse before a 61-run partnership between Daniel Worrall (62 not out) and Danny Briggs (35 not out) brought them closer. That being said, the same couldn’t prevent them from a 11-run loss.
