Wriddhiman Saha: Watch Indian keeper emulates MS Dhoni to run-out Matthew Wade in Adelaide Test
Wriddhiman Saha: The Indian wicket-keeper was aware enough to dismiss the Australian opening batsman in Adelaide.
During the third day of the first Test of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia in Adelaide, India wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha was seen running out Australia opening batsman Matthew Wade in an archetype MS Dhoni-style.
It all happened on the second delivery of the 18th over when Wade looked to step down the track against India’s Ravichandran Ashwin. With the Indian spinner getting early hints about the batsman’s intention, he bowled down the leg-side.
Wade, who managed to make contact with the ball, was left astonished by what followed. After hitting Wade’s bat, the ball hit Prithvi Shaw’s leg at short-leg.

Getting deflected towards the right of Saha, the 36-year old player was quick to take the opportunity of backhanding the ball onto the stumps with the batsman way out of the crease.
Playing his first Test as an opening batsman, Wade became victim of a strange dismissal but played well for his 33 (53) in the second innings.
Chasing a paltry 90-run target, the hosts sealed the chase in 21 overs with opening batsman Joe Burns (51*) finding some form on the back of his seventh Test half-century.

Matthew Wade is run out off a deflection 🤯
The ball hits the short leg’s boots and goes to Wriddhiman Saha who collects the ball and back-flicks it onto the stumps with the batsman outside the crease 😯 #AUSvIND 👉 https://t.co/Q10dx0r4nX pic.twitter.com/zAbXwSsmDP
