NJPW unhappy with US Taping Leaks
NJPW unhappy with US Taping Leaks. The Japanese wrestling promotion had months of content taped for their NJPW strong in the US.
New Japan Pro Wrestling announced NJPW Strong earlier in the year. This was a step towards their planned expansion in the US. The show began airing on August and has since been airing simultaneously with their shows in Japan.
There were several foreign talent that were featured on both shows. Considering the situation the world finds itself in, frequent travel was out of the question. NJPW countered that by taping several months of content ahead of time. Unfortunately for them however, the news has now come to light.

According to Fightful Select, NJPW officials aren’t too pleased with news of their taped content being reported. They have instructed their wrestlers not to reveal anything else about the TV taping process.
The report adds that another official involved in the NJPW Strong TV tapings told them that that he saw no issue with the tapings given that the world was currently in the midst of a pandemic.
Danny Limelight reportedly filmed 15 matches for NJPW Strong; which was enough for him to feature on the show through the end of the year. Rocky Romero was responsible for bringing in the wrestlers for the tapings.
