“If Trae Young had a butt like Kyle Lowry’s, he would be knocking dudes 10 feet forward”: Zach Lowe hilariously suggests new foul-drawing tactic for Hawks star
Zach Lowe says that if Trae Young had Kyle Lowry’s butt, he would be better at drawing fouls when driving in the paint.
The 2020-21 NBA season has definitely started off in a peculiar way to say the least. The common denominator between almost all teams in the league right now is that they have either suffered a blowout loss or have had a blowout win.
Despite this, there has been a noticeable increase in players developing their game and taking it to the next level. Stars such as Ja Morant, Brandon Ingram, and Jaylen Brown have all shown flashes of what more they have to offer on the court.
Another star who seems to have taken another leap this year is Trae Young. However, an outlandish theory concerning his development has recently been suggested by NBA analyst Zach Lowe.
Zach Lowe suggests Trae Young would rack up more fouls drawn with a bigger butt
Zach Lowe spoke on the Lowe Post about Trae Young’s blazing hot start to this NBA season. While talking about his increased expertise at drawing fouls, Lowe had an interesting suggestion for the Hawks point guard. Lowe said:
“If Trae Young had Kyle Lowry’s butt, he would be knocking dudes ten feet backwards.”

This was a jab at Young’s new found tendency to jut his butt out into the defender on drives to the rim in hopes if drawing a foul through initiated contact. James Harden is among the few players in the league who has mastered this maneuvre of forcing their body into the defender on drives to the basket. Young seems to be following in the 2018 MVP’s footsteps.
After 3 Hawks games, Trae Young was able to rack up an astounding, 46 free throw attempts. This almost led to a scuffle in the Hawks-Nets game as the refs were calling many fouls on the Nets when it came to Young. Steve Nash didn’t take this too lightly and was heated about Young attempted as many free throws as he did.
