“I have no reaction, they missed”: Russell Westbrook tacitly dodges question about Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving’s missed gamewinners vs Wizards
Russell Westbrook was in no mood to talk about Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving following a terrible game personally, despite a W for the Wizards.
The Washington Wizards just about grabbed a win despite Westbrook’s antics to close the game. While the Brody had 14 points and a ton of assists in the 4th, he really messed up by attempting a 30-footer. Westbrook, despite only being 1-of-6 at the time, shot it with utmost confidence.
He held his form, expecting his shot to swish. But it didn’t, and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, who was guarding his shot, meanwhile had streaked down the other end. The outlet pass led to TLC making an easy, open layup in transition, giving the Nets a one-point lead. If Beal and Thomas Bryant hadn’t combined for the final oop, Westbrook would have been looking at a shellacking.
The Brody took 25 shots on the night, making only 7 of them. So he took the least insulting route and voted not to answer a couple of questions.
Russell Westbrook responds to question about Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant missing gamewinners
Given his bad shooting night, it was understandable that Russ wouldn’t go on and criticize somebody for a brick:
“I have no reaction. They missed. We win. Game over.”

All in all, Russ was in a jovial mood despite his poor individual night since he got the W. He asked Drew Gooden to hurry up with his post-game question since he wanted to watch the Cowboys play. Unfortunately for Russ, Dallas got eliminated from playoff contention last night.
The Wizards are in line to play 5 teams which are playoff-bound this year. They need to win at least 4 of them to make it to a .500 record. It would be a ton of great results if they managed a result from either of Boston or Philadelphia. Their other games are at home (against Miami, Phoenix and Utah).
