Shannon Sharpe berates Paul George on his shortcomings in the Playoffs and claims he cannot be trusted on the big stage.

Paul George and the Los Angeles Clippers will go down in NBA history as having suffered one of the greatest Playoffs collapses in the recent memory. In Game 7 of the WCSF in the 2020 NBA Playoffs, Paul George scored merely 5 points on horrendous efficiency, which led to them blowing a 3-1 lead.

Now, the Clippers seek redemption as they have started the 2020-21 NBA season off strong, boasting a solid 6-3 record, including a win over the defending champ Lakers. Though the Clippers have been playing quite well, there are still doubts concerning one of their star players, Paul George.

Shannon Sharpe didn’t hold back against the 6’8″ swingman. He said, “I don’t know what the Clippers are going to do but I’m not trusting Paul George until I see him in the Playoffs.”

He continued on by saying, “You can be mad about the media, but we aren’t the ones calling you soft. That’s your peers, you need to convince them.”

The ongoing narrative surrounding PG13 for a while now has been that he’s ‘soft’. Whether it’s him complaining about Dame’s series ending shot and calling it a bad one, or blaming his poor shooting performances on mental health issues, NBA fans claim he always has an excuse.

It is not known whether or not the Clippers locker room has berated George and called him ‘soft’. However, they have had tiffs with one another, most notably after their series loss against the Nuggets.
