Shinsuke Nakamura completes Face Turn with return of The Rising Sun
Shinsuke Nakamura completes Face Turn with return of The Rising Sun. The King of Strong Style hinted at a change of alignment on last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
Shinsuke Nakamura was once seen as a future mega star in the promotion. Fans were genuinely excited when he moved from NXT to the WWE main roster. It seemed like it was only a matter of time before they strapped a rocket on to him and make him the WWE Champion.

A failed title bid against Jinder Mahal hurt his prospects. That however, was restored after a magnificent Royal Rumble win in 2018. A disappointing match against AJ Styles followed by yet another unsuccessful Championship pursuit hurt his stocks so bad, not even a heel turn could help him fall deep into the midcard vortex.
After spending close to two years in obscurity with the occasional title runs so he doesn’t leave the promotion, Nakamura is finally relevant and all it took was an amazing showing in a gauntlet match. Who would have guessed that fans care about wrestlers when they have great matches and look strong?
One question in everyone’s mind after the match though, was whether Nakamura was still a heel or did he turn into a face. That question was answered on tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown when he walked out with his previous theme song.

The King of Strong Style took on Jey Uso and came out victorious. After the match he took to Twitter to express his happiness over the return of his previous entrance music.
“YeaOh!! #therisingsun is back!! #kingofstrongstyle,” he wrote.

Following last week’s episode, many believe that Nakamura was being set for another world title bid. As it turned out, Reigns’ opponent was changed tonight. However, it was not Nakamura but another person. Perhaps, Nakamura is being saved for Elimination Chamber, Fastlane or maybe perhaps even Wrestlemania!
We may be getting ahead of ourselves though. What is important is that WWE has begun to book Nakamura properly and as long as the storyline is intriguing and matches are great, there will be little complaints about where the King of Strong Style goes from here.
