Brisbane weather forecast today: What is the weather prediction for 4th Australia vs India Gabba Test?
Brisbane weather forecast: A lot of clouds had started to show up in Brisbane during the second day of the fourth Test at the Gabba.
During the second day of the fourth Test of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia in Brisbane, rain has affected the start of play after the tea break. While clouds had started to show up over the Gabba in the second session, it is not the first time that rain has affected play in the ongoing four-match series.
Before breaking for tea, India lost a slight advantage as vice-captain Rohit Sharma ended up gifting his wicket to Australia spinner Nathan Lyon in his 100th Test. The right-hand batsman mis-timing an aerial shot with a couple of fielders guarding the boundary was the last thing which India wanted at that moment.
Having scored 62/2 in 26 overs, India still trail by 307 runs with batsman Cheteshwar Pujara and captain Ajinkya Rahane in the middle.
Brisbane weather forecast
While it continues to pour down in Brisbane, the immediate weather forecast doesn’t sound very promising. It is worth mentioning that there’s a “severe thunderstorm” warning in Brisbane till 04:23 PM (AEST) today. The same has it in it to force the players inside the dressing rooms for a large part of the third session.
Having said that, there’s a probability of play resuming in the last 30-45 minutes of day’s play. If weather permits, umpires might further add 30 minutes to cover for the lost overs.

According to AccuWeather, weather forecast for the third (Sunday) and fourth (Monday) day in Brisbane isn’t showing much probability of showers which means that all the lost overs from today can be easily recovered going forward in the Test match. In such a situation, play will begin 30 minutes before scheduled time on Day 3.
