“My wife wouldn’t let me play till 46”: LeBron James hilariously explains why he won’t be in the NBA for another 10 years

LeBron James says that he won’t be playing in the NBA for another 10 years due to his wife Savannah James not allowing that.

LeBron James is perhaps the most durable athlete in the history of the NBA. Perhaps the only other star who played in the NBA who could be argued as being more durable is Wilt Chamberlain.

This is due to LeBron prioritizing his physical health above all else throughout the entirety of a calendar year. It was reported that the ‘King’ spends over a million dollars a year in treating his body right.

Everything from a plethora of personal chefs to more drastic measures such as cryotherapy tanks are all things LeBron digs deep into his wallet for.

At 36 years of age, LeBron James is still as dominant as ever. When asked about being placed on minutes restriction, he said that he isn’t thinking about that one bit. Seems as though the 4x champ isn’t trying to go down the ‘load management’ route.

LeBron James was also asked about the possibility of playing till he was 46 years old. LeBron responded with, “I don’t think I can go to 46. I also don’t think my wife would like that.”

Playing a sport as physical as basketball at the age of 46 might not be wise for Bron. Not to mention that the NBA is the highest level of play in the entire world.

There are athletes who have come close to playing at that age. Widely regarded as the NFL’s ‘GOAT’, Tom Brady is still playing a high level at age 43. He has said he has no plans of retiring any time soon after leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the Playoffs.

The most likely scenario would be that LeBron James laces up for the last time when he his eldest son Bronny gets drafted into the NBA. LeBron has said before that playing with his son in the NBA would be the greatest moment of his career.
