Siraj cricket five-wicket haul: Watch Mohammed Siraj dismisses Josh Hazlewood to register maiden 5-wicket haul at the Gabba
Siraj cricket five-wicket haul: The most experienced Indian fast bowler led from the front to dismantle the hosts at the Gabba.
During the fourth day of the fourth Test of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia in Brisbane, India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj put on display an exemplary bowling performance to pick his maiden Test five-wicket haul.
Despite playing only his third Test, Siraj is the most experienced Indian bowler in this match. The right-arm bowler led from the front and didn’t let his inexperience come in the way.
It was on the penultimate delivery of the 76th over when Siraj picked his first five-for at the highest level by dismissing his counterpart in Josh Hazlewood.

In what was a short delivery, Hazlewood’s attempt of playing a ramp shot saw him giving a straightforward catch to Shardul Thakur at third-man. Batting at No. 11, Hazlewood departed after scoring 9 (11) with the help of two fours.
Having picked bowling figures of 19.5-5-73-5, Siraj was the pick of the Indian bowlers being slightly ahead of Thakur (19-2-61-4). Both the rookie players played a pivotal role in dismissing Australia on 294 in 75.5 overs.
The development means that India will have to chase down a 336-run target to win the match and the series. However, another rain interruption at the Gabba hints against play resuming in the last half an hour today.
