“I’ll consider quitting”- Lewis Hamilton reveals what may force him to take retirement as he is in the last phase of his Formula 1 career.

Lewis Hamilton is among the most successful race drivers in the history of Formula 1. His seven world titles are the display of his dominance over the course of last decade.

After nothing else to achieve, one might consider retirement. Still, for Hamilton, the criteria are different, and the Briton race driver has revealed that his happiness on the track is his biggest motivation.

“I think we all struggle with something. You have to discover what you are really passionate about and what you love to do. For me personally, there was a moment when that search became too serious,” Hamilton to Formula Success podcast.

“We only have one life, and you have to enjoy what you do. You have to find happiness in it every day. When I stop in the car and drive out of the garage, I have a big smile on my face, even after all these years.”

“If one day I find that this is no longer the case, that I don’t enjoy it anymore, that’s when I’ll consider quitting,” Hamilton concludes.

Going bit philosophical, but a purpose can influence a person to be happy about the things that the individual is doing. Maybe, the closeness to the record 8th world championship title allows him to find joy in his daily duty.

The tag of outclassing the ever great Michael Schumacher is definitely a lucrative prospect, a once in a lifetime opportunity. However, these are all speculations because maybe his perspective changes after grabbing that title, and everything remains redundant for him thereon.

Nevertheless, Hamilton remaining at Mercedes in 2021 is now a more conspicuous situation after recent revelations by Toto Wolff.
