“I will find another way to climb the mountain” – Shinsuke Nakamura vows to become first ever Japanese WWE Champion
Shinsuke Nakamura vows to become first ever Japanese WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The King of Strong Style has won every other title in the promotion.
Intercontinental Championship? Check. United States Championship? Check. Tag Team Championship? Check. World Championship? Far from it. Shinsuke Nakamura has had a few shots at the WWE Championship. He earned a chance to face Jinder Mahal at SummerSlam for the WWE Championship but failed.

The king of strong style went on to win the Royal Rumble to book himself another WWE challenge, this time against AJ Styles. However, despite the change of opponent the result stayed the same. Even a heel turn failed to salvage his title pursuit.
He has since won every other championship required for a Triple Crown and Grand Slam except for the World Championship. He did come close to challenging for the Universal Championship but was screwed out of it by Roman Reigns.

Nakamura appeared as the third contestant in a 6 man gauntlet. He would go on to eliminate 3 men and looked good to go all the way. However, Reigns, who was looking for a fight with Adam Pearce, interfered and ensured Pearce picked up the win.
Nakamura would go on to participate in the Royal Rumble. However, he failed to win the countdown battle royal match. That however, hasn’t stopped him from gunning for the WWE Championship. In a video promo uploaded on his social media, Nakamura claimed that he would become the first ever Japanese World Champion in the WWE.
